Evaluate All Things

May 19, 2023 |

Recently, I called my son (who serves in Law Enforcement) to share a Scripture that I felt was specifically for him.
It is found in I Cor. 3:15 TPT and says, “Those who live in the Spirit are able to carefully evaluate all things, and they are subject to the scrutiny of no one but God.”
Denise and I constantly pray for our Law Enforcement that they would have eyes to see and ears to hear what the Holy Spirit desires to show them while on and off duty.
After I read the Scripture to him, he told me of a situation where he was requested by another agency to help with a problem. It seemed to be a very routine normal situation, but our son said he felt uneasy about it in his heart, that something was not just right. He called his sergeant and told what he was sensing and after a few phones calls, our sons inner knowing was right. Things were not as they seemed.
Thank God for the ministry of the Holy Spirit who enables us to correctly evaluate all things. The Holy Spirit was sent to give understanding of things going on around us. We cannot make right decisions based on emotions dictating the flesh. We need the inward witness from the Spirit to know when something is right or when something is wrong.
As the Holy Spirit gives us His inward evaluation of things, it can save our lives and enable us to make wise and correct decisions. Denise and I do our best to follow His inward witness ( the Holy Spirit’s evaluation) even when things look contrary in the natural. We follow the “green light” in our hearts, the inner peace and experience the fruit of obedience.
Living in the Spirit is listening to His inward voice and following His lead regardless of what the circumstance is screaming at you. It is learning to “be still and know” and then “trust and obey.”
Each of us as followers of Christ have a very important role to fulfill in accomplishing what our Heavenly Father wants done. The Holy Spirit is here to help us.
Read and meditate in the Word of God everyday. The Holy Spirit always works in agreement with God’s Word.
As you are led by the Holy Spirit and see His hand of protection, guidance, or provision, be sure to thank Him and acknowledge Him for His presence in your life and for all He is doing.
Thank You Heavenly Father for Your Holy Spirit given to us! Thank You Holy Spirit for being our Teacher, Guide, Revealer of Truth and for helping us evaluate all things! We trust You!
